Hannay reels are designed to eliminate hazards, increase productivity, and support your marine operation from deck to dock. Available in both standard and custom designs, Hannay marine reels are built to fit your exact requirements and applications. Their sturdy components and reliable construction can perform in even the roughest waters, making the most of your space and time.
Marine reels are most commonly used for fueling, dry dock jobs, and cable storage. Hannay reels’ sturdy, corrosion-resistant build makes them ideal for offshore crude unloading, gas and arc welding, pressure washing, live cable, pneumatic or hydraulic tools, fire protection, and more.
Hannay reels are highly customizable to meet the unique needs of various marine operations. Whether for fuel delivery, hydraulic hoses, electrical cables, washdown hoses, or booster hoses for fire protection, reels can be tailored for the specific size, length, and pressure requirements of each application.
Hannay spring rewind reels deploy and retract hose quickly for more efficient refueling, safe handling, hose protection, and easy operation. Marine reels also offer a compact, organized storage solution, freeing up valuable deck or storage space. Their small footprint is ideal for delivering big performance in tight spaces.
Hannay Solution: SSN800 and SS800 Series Reels
The SSN800 spring rewind reel ensures quick and safe handling of fuel hose. With our narrow frame and compact mounting spring base, it can hold up to 50 feet of 1-inch fuel hose. The Hannay SS800 model has a slightly larger frame and can hold up to 100 feet of 1-inch fuel hose. Both series offer safe and smooth winding and unwinding for maximum efficiency during fueling operations.
Built with stainless steel components, these marine reels are ideal for corrosive environments, since they won’t rust or rot. Their robust construction ensures longevity, even with exposure to saltwater, UV rays, and extreme weather. Having loose hose can also create tripping hazards or interfere with operations, which is why marine reels keep these items neatly coiled and secured, reducing safety risks to crew members.
Hannay Solution: SS1000 and SS1500 Series Reels
With a compact design, the SS1000 reel can be easily installed in tight spaces common on ships and offshore platforms, optimizing storage without sacrificing functionality. It offers a manual rewind with a direct crank permanently attached, holds up to 250 feet of hose depending on ID size, and withstands pressures up to 5,000 psi. The SS1500 series is another stainless steel option designed for longer length hose up to 500 feet and can withstand pressures up to 10,000 psi.
Thanks to their heavy-duty construction and design, these reels don’t just stand up to tough jobsites; they improve them. These rugged and dependable reels help organize, deploy, and store hoses and cables efficiently, preventing tangling, kinks, and damage, reducing downtime and increasing operational efficiency. Properly storing hoses and cables on reels reduces wear and tear compared to manual handling or improper storage, extending the life of the equipment and lowering replacement costs.
Hannay Solution: N700, N400, NSCR700 Reels
The N400 reel is ideal for gas welding, which is especially critical when working on larger vessels or offshore platforms. The NSCR700 Series is designed to handle live electric cable. A 33-conductor, 25-amp, and 600-volt collector assembly are standard. The N700 Series is a compact reel for air supply, water, pneumatic tools, and more. All three series have a spring rewind with a non-sparking ratchet for safety and can hold up to 100 feet of hose or cable, respectively.
Hannay Reels also offers larger frame reels where longer lengths of hose or cable are needed for all the applications above.
Crucial to any safe marine operation is quick attack fire protection provided by booster hoses. These hoses provide fire protection coverage until larger-volume hoses can be set up. The Hannay SBFF Series reel is ideal for this application on the docks or on offshore rigs. Lightweight yet robust, the aluminum construction of SBFF Series reels supports both large booster hose and pre-connected collapsible hose.
There’s a wide range of spring rewind marine reels with hose or cable already installed. Hannay reel packages are convenient, reliable, and built so you can get right to work. You can choose one of the many standard reel packages available or consult with Hannay to customize a reel package ideal for your operation.
