When you’re delivering fuel, you need more than just an ordinary hose reel. You need a heavy-duty piece of equipment that can handle constant rewind and unwind, as well as the potential safety concerns that come along with working in sensitive and caustic environments.
Luckily, Hannay Reels offers a broad range of durable, dependable reels designed specifically for fuel delivery applications. With many features to choose from, we’ve highlighted the top reels for LP Gas, Petroleum/Diesel/Gas and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) delivery applications. Read on to learn which options might be right for your delivery needs.
LP Gas
Hannay LP reels have long been the standard in the LP Gas delivery industry. Our reels come in polished aluminum, stainless steel, or painted steel options. The heavy-duty design and construction of our reels ensure they can handle over-the-road everyday use and provide superior protection against corrosion and contamination. Maintenance is minimal and these reels improve the safety of your operations with features like explosion-proof motors, chain guards, and other brake-and-locking devices.
Our PBGMB Series reels are the staple for the LP Gas industry. They are equipped with the Hannay Guidemaster® that helps unwind and rewind hose faster, easier, and with less damage to the hose. Five positive-locking positions let the operator pull the hose out and away from sharp corners of cabinet or deck. An explosion-proof, push-button switch in the Guidemaster® handle lets the operator control the rewind motor and guide the hose on the reel in neat, uniform coils. A top-mounted version (PBGMT Series) is also available, depending on preference.
Petroleum/Diesel/Gas
Hannay provides spring rewind, power rewind and inverted hose reels for a variety of petroleum, gas, and diesel delivery needs. Our fuel hose reel options offer safe handling, hose protection, and easy operation with features like explosion-proof motors, non-sparking ratchet assemblies and suspended inverted reels that allow access on either side of the vehicle. With a heavy-duty design and construction, our reels ensure that they outlast the competition and save you money. Bolted-on components and conveniently located swivel joints make servicing our reels quick and trouble-free.
The Hannay IV Series multi-wrap reels are for inverted installation. These reels handle 1-1/4” through 2” ID hose and come with a chain and sprocket drive powered by an electric, hydraulic, or compressed air motor. A strap brake for creating drag while unwinding and the air caliper brake for locking the reel during transport are standard.
Hannay Series IV5000 reels are single wrap reels also for inverted installation and provide effortless and fast rewinding, wrapping, and guiding of hose. These reels handle 1-3/8” through 2” ID hose and also come with a chain and sprocket drive powered by an electric, hydraulic, or compressed air motor. Other standard features include a 12-volt rewind, strap brake, reduction unit, aluminum inlet and hub assembly, and ductile iron joint and riser for petroleum fuel. Additional options include auxiliary crank rewind, electric clutch units, air brake and your choice of three different inverted installation options.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Hannay Reels offers a full line of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) hose reels that are designed specifically to help meet emissions regulations for the transportation industry. These reels feature a 304-grade stainless steel fluid path in various sizes to handle the corrosive urea-based solution safely and efficiently. Hannay offers manual or power rewind reels, available for longer lengths up to 2" ID hose, or spring rewind retractable reels, available for shorter lengths up to 1" ID hose.
DEF Spring Rewind reels have a narrow frame and compact mounting base, with a non-sparking ratchet assembly and declutching arbor to prevent damage from reverse winding. These models handle ½”, ¾” or 1” ID hose and can hold up to 75 feet. Ideal for service trucks with smaller compartments, or where space is limited. Four-way roller assembly is standard with different orientations available and optional constant tension is available upon request.
DEF Manual or Power Rewind Reels
DEF Manual or Power Rewind Reels are heavy-duty reels designed for longer lengths of ½” to 2” ID hose. A strap brake is standard on all reels, and you can choose gear-driven crank rewind or chain and sprocket drive powered by an electric, hydraulic, or compressed air motor. Four-way rollers are also available to help guide hose for easy winding and unwinding.
We pride ourselves on producing reels designed with solid construction and well-built frames. Hannay reels allow for quick and easy maintenance, smooth dispensing, and stand up to the punishment delivered by corrosive environments. Our reels rarely require maintenance, but when they do, bolted-on components and conveniently located swivel joints make servicing Hannay reels quick and trouble-free.
